History

Maoist global organizations have previously existed, such as the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement (RIM) and the International Conference of Marxist–Leninist Parties and Organizations (ICMLPO), both somewhat declining by the 2010s.[4] During this same decade, numerous Gonzalo-adjacent organizations began springing up in Europe and Latin America.

In January 2022, communications were published on a Dutch Maoist blog, Communist International, expressing interest between multiple parties for a "Unified Maoist International Conference (UMIC)." In December 2022, it was declared that the conference resulted in the creation of a new International Communist League.[2]
