Satomi Ishihara

Kuniko Ishigami (石神 国子, Ishigami Kuniko, born December 24, 1986), better known by her stage name Satomi Ishihara (石原 さとみ, Ishihara Satomi), is a Japanese actress from Tokyo.[1][2]

Biography

Personal life

Satomi Ishihara was born in Tokyo. on December 24, 1986. Her blood type is A positive, and her height is 157 cm.[3]

Ishihara announced her marriage on October 1, 2020.[4]

On January 10, 2022, Ishihara announced through her agency that she was pregnant and is expected to give birth around spring.[5] On April 23, she gave birth to her first child.[6]

Career

At the age of 17, Satomi began her acting profession in 2003 when she starred in the drama kimi wa Petto, starring Jun Matsumoto and Koyuki.[7] She has devoted equal time to television serials and the movies. Satomi was nominated for several such awards such as Best Actress at the 46th Blue Ribbon Awards for role in the film My Grandpa and Best Supporting Actress in the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize for her role in the film And so the baton is passed.[7]

She is known to Japanese television drama audiences for her portrayal as Saeko Takahashi in the Shitsuren Chocolatier[7][8] and gained popularity by appearing in it.

Her agency is Horipro.

On March 21, 2019, she was appointed for one of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics torch relay ambassadors.[9]

In charge of Entertainer (MC) at Tomorrow's Change Show (NHK), which will start on April 7, 2022, will be the first MC challenge. In addition, Ishihara will suspend her entertainment activities indefinitely due to the birth of her first child, which will be described later, and will appear on the program until April 28, and after May 12, Masachika Ichimura will appear as a substitute. On July 28, Ishihara announced that they were planning to return from the broadcast on August 25 (she appeared on the broadcast on July 28 and announced). On the same day, she returned from the broadcast time.
