Minister for Disabilities
The Minister for Disabilities (Italian: Ministro per le Disabilità) in Italy is one of the positions in the Italian government.
The current Minister for Disabilities is Alessandra Locatelli, who held the office since 22 October 2022.
Alessandra Locatelli, born on 24 September 1976 in Como, Italy, has a background in Sociology. Locatelli has dedicated her time as a volunteer in various social and healthcare services within Italy, including organizations focused on sports and disabilities, emergency services, and children's centers in Africa. For several years, Locatelli has been involved in assisting, caring for, educating, and supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. In addition, has served as the director of a Community Housing facility in Como and held positions such as Councilor for social policies, Deputy Mayor, member of the Italian Parliament, and Councilor for social and family policies of Regione Lombardia.[1]
