Early life and high school

Smith lives in Hollywood, Florida and attends Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School.[1] He had 31 receptions for 667 yards and seven touchdowns in his sophomore season.[2][3] Smith caught 58 passes for 1,073 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior.[4] He also won the FHSAA Class 2A state championship in the 110 and the 400-meter hurdles during his junior year.[5]

Smith is rated a five-star recruit.[6][7] He is currently ranked as the second-best collegiate prospect in the nation by 247Sports.com, On3.com, and Rivals.com.[8] Smith committed to play college football at Ohio State over offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, and USC.[9][10]

Personal life

Smith is the cousin of NFL quarterback Geno Smith.[11]
