Jessica De Filippo
Jessica Christina De Filippo (born April 20, 2001) is a Canadian professional women's soccer player who plays as a striker/forward for Spain's Sporting Club de Huelva in the Primera División (Division 1) de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino (Liga F).

Early life
Born in Mississauga, Ontario, De Filippo was raised along with her older brother Ryan in her parents home town of Montreal, Quebec from the age of one.
She was a multi-sport athlete growing up and began playing soccer at the age of 4 in Saint-Lazare,Quebec, at the age of 8 she went on to play for the Lakeshore Soccer Club.
As of 2012 playing in LSEQ, 7 years with Lakeshore Soccer Club, 5 of which she was an under age player. scoring 175 goals in 148 games.
The lakeshore team were league champions seven consecutive years, winning two gold one silver and one bronze medal at the Canadian National Championships.
At 12 years old De Filippo accepted an invitation to train at Soccer Quebec’s National Training Centre (REX) 2014 - 2018 (12 to 16 years old).
2013 she was selected to compete for Team Canada at the Danone Nations Cup held in London, England.
De Filippo[6] was part of Team Quebec (Équipe Québec)[7] that won its first gold medal at the 2017 Canada Summer Games[8] held in Winnipeg, MB. Jessica won the tournament's top scorer, tying the country's record for most goals ever scored at the Canada Summer Games. she was selected to the Canada Games all-star team.[9]
De Filippo attended John Rennie High School, Pointe-Claire, Qc.
College career
De Filippo accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Louisville, KY Cardinals women's soccer team in the NCAA Atlantic Coast Conference, she appeared in 21 games for the Cardinals, scoring her first goal against the University of Eastern Michigan.
After two years as a Cardinal De Filippo transferred to Fayetteville, AR to play for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks in the NCAA South Eastern Conference, where she played for coach Colby Hale.[10][11]
First year 2021/22 as a Razorback, De Filippo was listed on the NCAA South Eastern Conference preseason list of players to watch.[12] A Strong Razorback team win the South Eastern Conference Championship and advanced to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament, losing in a shootout against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
In the 2022/23 season De Filippo was again on the South Eastern Conference preseason player watch list,[13] in the NCAA tournament the Razorbacks once again advance to the Elite Eight, losing 1-0 to Florida State University's Seminoles.
During the tournament De Filippo went on to win 2 consecutive National Player of week nominations selected as the best player in the country by College Soccer News[14] and again by Top Drawer[15] Soccer, having scored more goals then 41 of the 64 teams in the NCAA tournament combined.
De Filippo finished as the NCAA tournament top scorer.
In 2022 De Filippo was ranked 99th on the top 100 NCAA players in the country.[16]
De Filippo graduated from the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business with a degree in Marketing.

Professional career
De Filippo signed her first professional contract[21] in February 2023, signing a 5 month contract for the remainder of the 2023 season in Frauen-Bundesliga Div.1 FFC Turbine Potsdam, approximately 35 minutes outside of the capital of Berlin. She started in 11 of 12 league games, played 858 minutes, scoring a brace (2 goals) vs Meppen on Mar 26/23 earning player of the match in a 3-1 victory.
De Filippo was selected by 90min.de[22] and by Elfen Magazin[23][24] to the Top 11 in the Frauen-Bundesliga for the 16th week of matches.
July 2023 she signed her second professional contract to play for Spain's Sporting Club de Huelva[25] in the Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino (Liga F).[26]
October 15, 2023 De Filippo becomes the first player in history to score at the Antonio Toledo Sanchez Stadium.[27]
