Early life

Jin Koh was born in Malaysia. He moved to San Jose, California, at the age of 18. Koh attended the University of California, Berkeley where he majored in legal studies.[1][2]

Career

In 2012 Koh founded Original Stitch, a fashion company based in San Francisco, that uses on-demand manufacturing to create men's shirts.[3][4] In 2016, it raised $1.1 million from Inspire Ventures, NTT Docomo, and private investor Bill Lohse.[3] In 2019, Original Stitch partnered with Pokémon to create customized Pokémon shirts.[4] In December 2022, Original Stitch announced it would begin offering the Japanese manga series One Piece to create custom clothing.[5]

In 2019, Original Stitch had added Bodygram, a feature that combines artificial intelligence and motion capture technology to measure for shirt size.[6][7] Bodygram eventually became the company's main focus; the company renamed to Bodygram, and in June 2023 Original Stitch folded.[8][9]

Personal life

Kohn is a citizen of the United States and a Tokyo resident.[1]
