Jurijs Baranovs

Jurijs Baranovs (Yuri Baranov) is a Latvian rugby union player who plays for Ensiey STM in the Russian Rugby Championship.[1][2]

Career

Baranov made his debut for the Latvia national team at 18. He joined Ensiey STM in 2000 and made his debut in 2001.[3] He became the second ever Latvian to play in the European Challenge Cup.[4]

Personal life

Baranov was originally dreamed to play hockey for Dynamo Riga, however it never worked out, he later tried Greco-Roman Wrestling before moving to rugby.[5]
