The 690 Enduro and R range has undergone a number of changes over its lifespan.

690 Enduro

The 690 Enduro remained the same from its introduction in MY08 through to its discontinuation in MY10. Although labelled as a 690, its a 654cc single cylinder.

It had a full instrument cluster which included a tachometer alongside the multifunctional digital speedometer, 250 mm (9.8 in) suspension travel front and rear, and a 12 L (2.6 imp gal; 3.2 US gal) fuel tank.

690 Enduro R

MY09

Introduced with the 654 cc (39.9 cu in) engine. Key differences from the base model were it's orange frame, smaller headlight unit and instruments, longer travel 275 mm (10.8 in) suspension.

MY12

Notable changes with the engine increased capacity to 690 cc (42 cu in). Gained the full instrument cluster and larger headlight unit. Suspension travel decreased to 250 mm (9.8 in). [1]

MY14

An updated ECU meant that the bike now had ABS and a ride by wire throttle. The engine gained a twin spark cylinder head. [2]

MY19

A major overhaul with heavily redesigned bodywork, slimmer frame, smaller instruments without tachometer, a fuel capacity increase to 13.5 L (3.0 imp gal; 3.6 US gal), new engine with a second balancer shaft and small capacity increase to 693 cc (42.3 cu in). [3]
