Khan Ghufran Zahidi

Khan Ghufran Zahidi (born 20 July 1934, Hindi: खान गुफरान ज़ाहिदी) was an Indian politician. He was the member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly (Thrice) from Fatehpur assembly. also he was Minister of Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1989.[1][2]

Political career

Ghufran was first elected as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly three consecutive times in the year 1977 on a Janata Party ticket. Later, he also became a member of the panel speaker. In the year 1989, he also held the post of minister in the Uttar Pradesh government. From 1982 to 1984, he was also on the Committee on Public Undertaking of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Later, he also held the post of member of the Rajya Sabha from 1996 to 1998. And he also held the post of Vice President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee for many years.[3]
