Khan Haji Faqeera Khan Swati

Khan Haji Faqeera Khan Swati was the member of Indian National Congress and elected MLA of Mansehra III in the 1937 Indian provincial elections.[1] He was companion of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan(Bacha Khan) and active leader of Khudai Khidmatgar Movement. In 1937 elections, 3 legislative assembly seats were reserved for Mansehra i.e. Mansehra I, Mansehra II, Mansehra III. Khan Muhammad Attai Khan Swati of Indian National Congress became MLA of Mansehra I, Khan Muhammad Abbas Khan Swati of same party became MLA of Mansehra II and Khan Haji Faqeera Khan Swati became the MLA for Mansehra III.

Khan Faqeera Khan was the "Khan of Malakpur Village" and maternal grandfather of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Vice PresidentSenator Azam Swati.
