Kharqan Rural District (Shahrud County)

Kharqan Rural District (Persian: دهستان خرقان) is in Bastam District of Shahrud County, Semnan province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 15,936 in 4,406 households.[3] There were 16,308 inhabitants in 5,148 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 18,877 in 6,438 households. The largest of its 120 villages was Miqan, with 4,264 people.[2]
