Radio Klasik
Radio Klasik (Radio 1) as the oldest Malaysian language radio station operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia was first broadcast on 24 August 1934 as ZHj Yayasan Wayarles Pulau Pinang. Its main motto is Menggamit Kenangan (Reaching Memories). The station mostly plays classic hits, easy listening and Oldies from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s similar and related to to Warna 94.2FM in Singapore and Sinar in Malaysia as targeting listeners between the age of 50 to now. It is broadcast 24 hours a day (starting on 19 January 1971), 7 days a week.

Etymology
The station was formerly known as Radio Klasik and before that as ZHj Yayasan Wayarles Pulau Pinang.
History
The station started as ZHj Yayasan Wayarles Pulau Pinang operating of George Town, Penang on 24 August 1934. With the independence of Malaya on 31 August 1957 Radio Malaya was split into two; the original studios in Singapore was taken over by a new station called Radio Singapura (currently known as Mediacorp Radio) and Radio Malaya moved to Kuala Lumpur going on air from the new location on 1 January 1959.
On 19 January 1971, Radio Malaya which was known as Rangkaian Nasional (National Network) started broadcasting 24 hours a day as the first station in the country to do so.
On 1 January 1989, Rangkaian Nasional which was known as Radio 1.
Radio Klasik adopts the classic hits, easy listening and Oldies radio format with the majority of the playlist consisting of Classic hits, Easy listening and Oldies music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
On daily features Golden Oldies music from the 1950s and 1960s.
National Anthem
At midnight stroke every day along with all RTM national and regional radio stations the national anthem was play as the opening.
