Vandalism

La Tablada Cemetery has been subject to frequent vandalism, often of anti-semitic nature. In 1999, 62 headstones were damaged on the eve of Yom Kippur.[2] In 2021, over 100 headstones were smashed, echoing a similar vandalic event in 2009.[3] In 2022, over 300 plaques were stolen and a monument in remembrance of the 1994 AMIA bombing was damaged.[4]
