Due to recent developments in the field of phylogeny, many species of Lepidodactylus balioburius have been discovered in Batan, Philippines. Some scientists may believe that Lepidodactylus balioburius and another species in the Lepidodactylus genus, L. yami, are closely related based on observable traits also known as phenotypes. [3].[2]
