Little Pancho

Eulogio Villaruel Tingson (born January 16, 1912, in Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines) more known as Little Pancho was a Filipino boxer who fought in boxing from 1927 to 1942 and was a former CSAC Bantamweight and World Flyweight title challenger, he was also the younger half-brother of Pancho Villa, his managers includes Manuel Eloriago and Jerry Zukor.

Little Pancho has fought also a fellow Legendary Filipino boxer, Joe Mendiola in the early days of their career, whereas in their 1st match together it was scored a draw, but Little Pancho was unsuccessful at winning in their Second Match, in the Third fight it was scored a Draw again.[1]

After Little Pancho's victory against Star Frisco at their second match, he continued his Rivalry with Joe Mendiola in November 16, 1935 where he wins the match, after losing to Bueneventura, Little Pancho fought Mendiola again for the Oriental Bantamweight Title in January 18, 1936 where he retains it, and at July 4, 1936 they rematched again now its a Non-Title Match, after Little Pancho's draw against Little Dado, where he won his fight again against Joe Mendiola.

In May 16 of 1936, Little Pancho battled against the then undefeated and Future Boxing Legend, Little Dado, whereas Little Pancho put a dirt on Little Dado's Undefeated record. In Their Rematch, nearly a month after, The Fight was scored a draw, and more than a month after, they had their Third match, where Little Pancho won against Little Dado for the 2nd time. At Their 4th Match, about 5 months after their third, They were booked to fight for 12 Rounds, but just when the match was about to end the fight was scored a Technical decision Win for Little Pancho.

After losing to Tony Olivera, Little Pancho rematched with Jackie Jurich in a non-title match, Unfortunately for Little Pancho, the outcome was similar to his Rematch against Olivera, where he lost, despite Winning their first match together.

The End of Little Pancho's Career

After 3 consecutive draw and a loss, Little Pancho fought the then well-known boxer, Manuel Ortiz at Legion Stadium whereas Little Pancho lost and this also served as his last fight.

As of July 2023, Little Pancho is Rated as #15 in all Filipino Boxers Ratings BoxRec[2] Whereas he's ranked higher than Pablo Dano by 1 and ranked lower than Rene Barrientos by 1, whilst being ranked #33 in all Flyweight Boxers Rankings[3]

Personal life

Little Pancho was the younger half-brother of former Flyweight World Champion Pancho Villa. He also served in the United States Army during World War II.[4]
