Maitra
Maitra (Bengali: মৈত্র), alternatively spelled as Moitra or Maitreya is a Bengali Hindu surname found among the Bengali Brahmins of Varendra clan.[1] It is one of the oldest surnames of Bengal, coming from the Varendra Brahmin clans.
