Mangammagari Manavadu
Mangammagari Manavadu (transl. Grandson of Mangamma) is a 1984 Telugu-language drama film. It was produced by S. Gopala Reddy under the Bhargav Art Productions banner and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bhanumathi Ramakrishna, Suhasini Charuhasan with music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. The film is a remake of Tamil movie Man Vasanai (1983).[2]

Plot
Veeranna is the grandson of Mangamma. Anitha is her daughter and Gokina Rama Rao is her son-in-law. Malli is their daughter and granddaughter of Mangamma. Mangamma does not like her son-in-law's family, resulting in frequent quarrels. Veeranna and Malli love each other. Yeleswaram Ranga is the leader of the neighboring village. He does not like Mangamma. Every year, bull fights were conducted. Rama Rao bets on the contest and promises to marry his daughter with the winner. The opponents cheat them and win the bull fight. Rama Rao commits suicide. They attack Balakrishna. He kills them and leaves the village. Everyone thinks he is dead. Finally, he returns from Military service with a girl he would like to marry. His reasons are the rest of the story.

Box office
The film was a major box office success and celebrated a silver jubilee. It was the first 100-day film for Nandamuri Balakrishna as solo hero. The film was his breakthrough as lead actor.[3] It ran for 100 days in Karnataka and 565 days in Hyderabad, making it the longest running Telugu film at the time.
