Mann Sundar

Mann Sundar (transl. Beauty of the Heart) is an Indian romantic drama series produced by Suzana Ghai under the banner of Panorama Entertainment.[1] It premiered on 18 October 2021 on Dangal.[2] Shruti Anand and Shivam Khajuria portrayed the characters of Ruchita and Nihar.[3][4] After generation leap, Nancy Roy and Simran Tomar portray the characters of Ruhi and Juhi, while Dev Aditya portrays the character of Nahar Goenka.

Plot

Ruchita, a young woman, hopes to find a life partner who does not judge her by her outward appearance and instead loves her for her inner beauty, nature and values in life.

Similarly in second season, Ruhi also wants to show to the world that her skin color does not indicate her beauty.

Ruchita, an idealistic woman whose skin had been darkened and she happily lives with her mother, father and grandmother in Uttar Pradesh where other side Nihar, the son of the famous businessman named Naresh Goyal, who is the owner of Goyal Jewellers, and lives with his mother Poonam, his brother Prathik, his wife Ritu in another city. Ruchita fixed her marriage and another Nihar is fixed Ruchita too and they meet each other in his house. Meanwhile, Amrita who is Ritu's younger sister who falls in love with but her love was rejected by Nihar because of Nihar 's Marriage to Ruchita. Nihar accepts Ruchita's marriage and they married each other with the blessings of his father. Poonam dislikes Ruchita as she thinks that Ruchita is different from other women as her skin is too dark and she creates a many problems inside the family and also she tries to kick Ruchita at multiple times but also fails. Amrita, who loves Nihar after the marriage and she returned to reunite with Nihar. She pretends as a Maid named Sunehri and enters the house. It is revealed that there is already a woman named Sunehri, but she was killed by Amrita so that she can separate Ruchita from Nihar's life. Nihar, accepts and supports Ruchita always but when Amrita tries to separate Ruchita at multiple times but fails. To separate her from Nihar, Amrita separates Nihar by wearing Ruchita's saree and her ornaments and she steals the documents of the house and she pushes Daadi on the step which accuses Ruchita. The entire family except Nihar accuses Ruchita for all of this and she was thrown out of the house but she didn't leave this house and she lived outside the garden and she revealed and promises to them that she will reveal the truth. Ruchita gets the evidence and discovers that it was Amrita who did this to separate her from Nihar. She tries to reveal the truth to Nihar and the entire family. But it fails after Amrita steals her phone but unknown to her that Ruchita had taken the Memory card which contains the evidences against Amrita. Ruchita gives the evidence to Nihar inside the Pendrive but Amrita learns of this she steals the pendrive and put it inside the toy car to get radiation after Nihar puts the pendrive inside the television it is blasted. Ruchita all accuses for trying to murdering his family and then Amrita throws her out of the house. To separate Ruchita from Nihar, Amrita mixes Poison inside the Juice after she tries to revealing the truth from the family which causes her to faint which witnesses Daadi and she takes her body and throws her into a nearby pond. Nihar and the entire family think that Ruchita is dead after missing. They decide to mourn her, but unknown to them that she had been still alive.
51–100"Amrita's Truth come out"
Ruchita decided to find the truth by scaring Amrita as her own ghost but Amrita makes the entire family believes that she is pregnant with Nihar's child where Nihar announces his marriage to Amrita which Surprises Ruchita. Ruchita scares Amrita again as she confesses the truth to Ruchita. Ruchita decided to expose Amrita's truth with evidences in front of the family by knocking Amrita unconscious when she was going to marry Nihar. Nihar marries Ruchita unknowingly while Amrita shocks to sees this and the entire family finds out that Ruchita is still Alive except Nihar. Ruchita Exposes Amrita's true colours where Nihar blames her for trying to separate them and cuts all ties with her while Ritu disowns her after knowing the truth and Ruchita expels Amrita out of the house by warning her with a last message.
101–150"Comeback of Amrita"
Amrita returns after she gets involved in a theft and she decided to take revenge on Ruchita for expelling her out of the house and creates more problems inside the family and she fakes her own death which accuses Nihar and gets arrested by police. Meera, who is Amrita's mother tries to stop them from bailing Nihar. Ruchita decided to find this and gathers evidence and learns that Amrita is still alive. Ruchita exposes Amrita's truth in front of the family and they teams with them to expose their truth out. Ruchita and their team kidnaps Meera and Meera confesses the truth in front of the family and they brings Amrita as they makes her to believe that Ruchita and Nihar's family kills her mother and she fights with her. Naresh brings the police and they exposes Amrita and Meera's truth with evidence and is arrested by police and send them to jail while Nihar gets bailed by the police.
150–200"Return of Preeti"
Preeti, who is Poonam and Naresh's long lost daughter and Nihar and Prathik's long lost daughter enters their house and she creates many problems inside the family by entering as a mute maid. It is revealed that her Daadi sends their daughter to a nurse as his uncle doesn't like girls. Her Daadi is also knows about and she hides the truth from their family Ruchita knows this truth and exposes Daadi 's hidden truth from their family. The family welcomes her but unknown to them that she was came to destroy this family so that she can take the entire property of this house. She creates lot of problems and also she creates the misunderstandings between her brothers which causes their house binding into two parts by which Poonam, Naresh, Daadi, Ritu, Prathik and Preeti lives in first row and also Nihar and Ruchita stays in second row. The family is separated because of Preeti and she tries to kill both of them but fails each time and then she puts Kerosene inside the oil when she was making food which causes her to lose her eyesight. Daadi discovers this and then she and Daadi expose Preeti's truth in front of the family and then she escapes from the family and she accidentally hits Ruchita with a steel rod which kills Ruchita, Poonam also witnesses this and also Preeti warns her that she doesn't want to go for prison and then she and Preeti buries her body and then she escapes but Preeti is captured by Prathik and he and some people sends her to Mental Asylum. Nihar and Entire family thinks Ruchita is dead so they mourns her. But, Ruchita entered their house into as a soul and also lives inside this which shocks to Poonam. Poonam, knows that Ruchita returned as a soul after the accident. To rid of her, she brings a tantrik and the tantrik takes her body out and also he captures Ruchita with the help of Poonam. But Ruchita, over powers him and he was killed by her powers and also she obtains her body too. Poonam, is angered by this and she Paralysis Naresh and also Poonam accuses her for trying to murdering her husband and she is arrested by police. Nihar tries to bail her by obtaining evidence but fails every time and also Nihar officially divorces Ruchita and then he reveals her that "There will be no Ruchita, in my life, so you want to leave this house" and Poonam warns to her that "Don't come to this home again and also she doesn't want to see her face also" which causes Ruchita leaves this house and doesn't want to meet him anymore.
200–251"Ruchita and Nihar separated"

6 Months Later

Ruchita is now works at a nearby company in Lucknow and lived with his family while Nihar has become a businessman and he operates his father's company and lives with his own family and also Aanchal Meghwal who is Nihar's fiancée who loves him. Ruchita and Nihar miss each other while she surprises to meet Naresh and Ruchita and Nihar meet each other and she misunderstands that Aanchal is Nihar's wife when Ritu brings her again inside the house. Aanchal learns the truth and decided to separate them by scaring the entire by using a fake suicide drama and also she brings her mother Tai Maa and with her help she separates them by releasing a fake pregnancy report which leads him to announce his marriage to Aanchal. Ruchita discovers this and collects evidence against her and she stops Nihar from marrying Aanchal and she exposes Aanchal's truth to the family but Aanchal and Tai Maa kidnap Poonam and she threatens Nihar to marry her. Ruchita and Nihar's family saves Nihar and Poonam and they bring the police and have Aanchal and Tai Maa arrested.
251–309"Return of Sambhav"
Sambhav, who is Poonam's nephew had returned from the house and he decided to separate Ruchita and Nihar by teaming up with Poonam. He creates many problems inside the family and tries to separate both Ruchita and Nihar but fail and Ruchita learns of this and she warns Sambhav for this but Sambhav blackmails Ruchita and he threatens her that he will kill Nihar which makes her shock and he announces his and Ruchita's wedding which surprises the family and Nihar finds out the truth and he reveals Sambhav's truth in front of the family while Sambhav realised his mistake and he leaves this house. But Poonam throws Ruchita at a pond as she thinks that Ruchita will separate her son. But, she was saved by some hermits and she lives as a nun while the entire family thinks that Ruchita is dead. One day, Ruchita saves a woman named Rithika Ahuja from an accident where she pours the kerosene on the car while her dress gets stuck while catching fire on the car and she reveals to her that she want to aspire to become as a singer, but her father who is a businessman who hates this and he wants to sent her to London by dealing with the businessman, The businessman is revealed to be non another than Naresh Goyal and Ruchita who finds out the truth and she decided to help her by disguises as Rithika Ahuja and enters their house and deals with the Naresh on his business while Poonam who likes her face and she decided to marry Nihar to Ritika but unaware to her that Ritika is non another than Ruchita itself. Nihar who finds out that Ritika is non another than Ruchita and he and Ruchita reunite but things worsen when the real Rithika Ahuja enters the house and she is expelled from the house but Rithika who finds out the truth that Ruchita is helping her so that she can deal with Naresh in his business. But the family learns that Ruchita is still alive and also Poonam's truth while Ruchita and Nihar tries to leave this house but was stopped by Poonam and Naresh itself.
309–350"Return of Disha"
Disha, who is Prathik's former lover returns to retaliate against Prathik for abandoning her and her son and she tries to kill the entire family but was prevented by Prathik and she warns to him that "if you didn't put my child's name under your name then I will reveal your truth in front of the family" which surprises Prathik and Nihar who learns of this and takes Prathik and blames him for abandoning her former lover but Prathik tells him to hide the truth in front of the family and he tries to kill himself but it was stopped by Nihar and Prathik is injured and Disha enters the house by bringing her child and she tries to reveal Prathik's truth. When Prathik tries to kill himself, Nihar takes the blame and this surprises the family and they think that Nihar had cheated on Disha which makes Naresh blames Nihar and he makes his son an employee in his company and Nihar names the child "Pinku" while Ruchita, who is surprised by this and she tries to learn the truth. Nihar had tried to reveal the truth to Ruchita but the truth was divulged by Ritu, who is surprised to learn that Pinku is Prathik's son so she decided to hide the truth from Ruchita by writing a fake letter for Ruchita by under Nihar's name and she also writes the fake letter for Nihar under Ruchita's name which makes Ruchita left this house while Ruchita finds out that she is pregnant with Nihar's child and she decided to raise her as her own.
350–400"Ruchita and Nihar separated again"

6 years later

Ruchita is now become as a famous employee in her Company and lives with her family except her daughters Ruhi and Juhi while Nihar is now works at his father's company and he raises Prateek and Disha's child Pinku and lives with his family. Nihar meets Ruhi and Juhi at the park where they fights with Pinku and Poonam and he befriends with them but unaware to him that Ruhi and Juhi are his daughters. Nihar and Ruchita meets each other after he learns that Ruhi and Juhi are his daughters but he misunderstands that she is married. Nihar saves Ruchita, Ruhi and Juhi from an accident and brings her inside the house which surprises the entire family. Disha, who is revealed to be falls in love with Nihar gets jealous on Ruchita and decided to separate them. Nihar finds out that Ruhi and Juhi are his daughters after he gets Juhi's birth certificate report and exposes the truth in front of the family. Nihar revealed the truth to Ruhi and Juhi for being their father and gets reunites which witnesses Ruchita. But Disha makes Nihar by forcefully marrying her with the help of the goons which surprises the entire family except Ruchita. Poonam finds out that Ruhi is not Nihar and Ruchita's daughter but she is being their adopted daughter and exposes Ruhi's truth in front of the family which makes them to not accept Ruhi as their granddaughter and Poonam starts to hate her and only loves Juhi and Pinku. But Nihar accepts Ruhi as their daughter after he learns about her truth.
400–450"Ruchita and Nihar reunite again"
Ruchita has doubts about Disha's behaviour and discovers the truth when she captures a goon and Ruchita learns that Disha had paid money from him to get her to marry Nihar. Ruchita exposes the truth to Nihar and blames Disha for marrying him and he threatens her to expose the truth in front of the family. But Disha pretends to have a fever and a heart problem. Ruchita realises Disha's fake act and obtains Disha's medical report. Ritu is hiding Prathik's truth and also hides the fake letter. Ruchita obtains the fake letter and put it on the file and also Ritu takes Disha's medical report and destroys it. Ruchita exposes Disha's deception and Ruchita receives the file but is unaware that Ritu's fake letter is in this file. But for her and entire family surprises to read that fake letter. Ruchita finds out that it was Ritu who receives the fake letter which leads her to leave this house while Nihar and the family learn the truth and Nihar lashes out at her and Nihar informs the family that Pinku is Prathik and Disha's son. So Prathik and Ritu are expelled from the house. Naresh apologies Nihar for his past actions and reunites while Nihar and Ruchita reunite. While the entire family blames Disha for trying to separate Ruchita and Nihar but Disha admits that she wanted to make Nihar to become Pinku's father. The family prevents her from leaving with Pinku and Pinku learns that Prathik, not Nihar, is his father.
450–500"Return of Pataal Devi; Ritu's Murder, Disha's arrest"

Pataal Devi, an evil underworld goddess, returns from earth to destroy the family when they lift her statue from the pit. She creates problems inside the family as her soul enters a doll and she makes the family hateful and negative. Ruchita realises this and it is revealed that the tantrik was her devotee and he was killed by Ruchita before she can return from earth to destroy the world and also it was she who traps Nihar inside the Mirror and tooks his form to destroy the family but she was destroyed by Ruchita, and she buried her to the same pit where they lift her statue out. Ruchita decided to stop her and she immerses her statue in water before the entire family who try to kill her. The family becomes normal again. Pataal Devi warns her that her one of the eye is inside this house and it is revealed to be Disha's room.

Disha, who fails to separate Ruchita and Nihar, decides to separate Ritu and Prathik as she turns Ritu against Ruchita, leading them to fight. Ritu discovers Disha's truth and tries to expose it but Disha kills her and is observed by Juhi. Nihar and Poonam see this as Poonam and the family think that Ruchita killed Ritu when they see Ruchita inside the window but are unaware that Pataal Devi takes her form and frames her as a revenge and they accuse Ruchita for Ritu's death and expel her. Nihar believes that Ruchita is innocent and Ruchita returns by wearing Ritu's mask to find the truth. Disha learns that Juhi already knows the truth and tries to harm her. Ruchita and Nihar learn that Disha killed Ritu and they know that Pataal Devi framed her by impersonating her and also Juhi had observed Ritu's murder. Ruchita and Nihar expose Disha's truth to the family by bringing Juhi and she says that Disha killed Ritu and she had been blackmailed by Disha. Nihar tries to call the police, but Disha becomes possessed by Pataal Devi's spirit and traps the family and tries to kill her. But Ruchita overpowers her and destroys her spirit and then Disha is arrested by police, but Pinku sees this and tries to stop her and then Disha makes him believe that Ruchita is a bad aunt, and she will return, leading Pinku to blame Ruchita for separating him and his mother and he starts to hate her for Disha's arrest. But a fire accident occurs in the school competition; where Nihar rescues both Ruchita and their kids, but Nihar didn't escape himself, which leads his entire family to think that Nihar is dead, which leads Poonam to start to hate her and tries to expel her, but it was stopped by Naresh by bringing Nihar whom is revealed to lose his memory due to the accident and he disguises himself as Babu.
500–550"Return of Apsara"
Apsara, a woman who had come back for revenge on the Goel family for the death of her husband, Babu by stopping Nihar and Ruchita's marriage and by claiming that Nihar is her husband Babu. It is revealed before Nihar rescues Ruhi on the fire accident Babu had already camed for her rescue but he died in the fire accident. Apsara tries to create rift in between but everytime gets failed. And she makes him to believe that she is pregnant with his child; It is revealed Apsara is intended to be pregnant with Babu's child. Ruchita finds out that Babu is Nihar and Nihar finally regains his memory. Ruchita learns Apsara and his mother Lalita's true colours and exposes this to the Goel family. As Lalita tries to kill Ruchita, Ruhi saves her from Lalita. As Lalita fakes her own death which makes Nihar blame himself for her death and he gets arrested and the court awarded him to get executed. While Apsara takes the entire wealth and the property and expels the Goel family out of the Goel house, Prateek leaves for another country for a business matter. Ruchita decides to find out this and gains evidences and finally learns that Lalita is still alive. Ruchita decides to expose their truth out while Apsara decides to kill Lalita to destroy the evidences against her but before killing Lalita, Ruchita brings the police and exposes Apsara and Lalita's truth and finally Apsara gets arrested while Lalita also realizes her mistakes and leaves them while Nihar gets bailed by police.
550–587"Juhi gets kidnapped; Return of Monica, Nihar's death, Introduction of Ved Vardhan"

Poonam, whom still hates Ruhi decides to expel her from the Goel house as she meets a Baba at the temple and brings him inside the house and he tells that Ruhi is not being the part of the Goel family and she will make the bad omen for them. But Ruchita interrupts this and stop them, as the Goel family unaware the truth that the man whom Poonam brings as a baba is not a real baba but he is a child kidnapper named Bablu who had already learned from Poonam's conversation with Dadi on the night when he came to steal from the Goel house and so he decided to kidnap Ruhi. On the day of Ruhi and Juhi's birthday celebration, Bablu cames again disguising himself and tries to kidnap her but he changes his mind and he thinks that Ruhi will not be of any use to him and instead he kidnaps Juhi and escapes which shocks the Goel family. Bablu brings Juhi to a woman named Guru Maa, who is the main head of the child kidnapping gang as she had kidnapped many other children and make them turn into as goddess in front of the villagers and also she sells them with a hefthy price. Juhi tries to escape from Guru Maa's clutches but Guru Maa makes Juhi unconscious by injecting her with a medicine and then Guru Maa had made Juhi as Jugni Mata infront of the villagers.

Nihar learns about Juhi's kidnap and decides to rescue her with Ruchita and they finally learns that Guru Maa had made Juhi as a goddess and they decides to bring Juhi back again and decides to expose Guru Maa's truth out. Ruchita and Nihar disguise themselves and successfully saves Juhi but Guru Maa and her henchmen make both Ruchita and Nihar fell in their trap and they make both Ruchita and Nihar shift themselves to another room. Guru Maa tries to sell Juhi to an NRI based businessman but Nihar escapes again and calls the Goel family, so Naresh and Poonam disguise themselves and saves Juhi from Guru Maa. As Nihar brings the police, they arrest the businessma and also tries to arrest Guru Maa but the villagers tried to stop the police as Guru Maa escapes from them and brings Juhi again. But Nihar didn't find Ruchita because it is revealed Guru Maa had shifted Ruchita into a secret room alongside the children who are still trapped by Guru Maa. Nihar finds Ruchita and the children and they let them to escape and they hatches a plan to expose Guru Maa's truth out and finally Ruchita exposes Guru Maa's truth out infront of the villagers and she reveals to them how she made Juhi as a Goddess and then she gets arrested by police and they take her to jail.

Prateek, who completes his business work returns back along with his girlfriend Monica, and he makes the announcement to the Goel family that he will marry her. Monica gets obsessed with Nihar and tries to get close at him but everytime gets failed. Monica also hacks his phone to know his movements while Ruchita also doubts at her. But Monica makes Nihar by accusing her to molest her and Prateek blames him for the reason and he leaves the Goel house. Monica also leaves the Goel house by making the Goel family to believe that she is going to US but instead it is revealed Monica had come back for a mission and she kidnaps Nihar with help of goons and bring him to a secret place. Nihar learns about Monica's true colours and it is revealed that Monica is a terrorist who has come back for a mission to destroy Jaipur city. As it is find out that one of his crew workers who works with Monica is the look alike of Nihar and he had died in an open encounter by police. As Monica finds his photo on the newspaper when he gets awarded to be executed on the day when he gets accused on Lalita's fake murder as she decided to use him for the Mission as she befriends his brother, Prateek and entered the Goel house for it.

Monica blackmails Nihar to become a Suicide Bomber by wearing the jacket which contains bomb and brings him to a place where a festival had started in this city. Ruchita and the Goel family finds Nihar but for their shock that Nihar is wearing the jacket with bomb as Ruchita tries to rescue him but in the process Nihar tells the truth to her and dies in the bomb blast alongside with some people who had come at the festival which shocks Ruchita and the Goel family as the entire people and the society blames Nihar for being a traitor and they burned their house. Ruchita and his family moved to a small house but Ruchita decides to prove Nihar's innocence. Ruchita meets a man named, Ved Vardhan who is an ACP Officer had taken Nihar's case and he had come to raid the Goel House and he supports her to prove his innocence because it is revealed that, Ved is Ruchita's classmate and her childhood friend. Ved and Ruchita decides to prove his innocence by getting evidences against Monica. Monica sets bomb in Ruhi and Juhi's school, but Ruchita and Ved successful throw the bomb away. Monica dies by getting hit by a pillar which fell due to the blasting of the bomb. Ruchita and Ved successful proves Nihar innocent.
588–present"Ruhi and Juhi are grown up; Introduction of Goenka family; Ruhi's alliance with Nahar"

15 Years Later

Ruhi and Juhi are grown up. Ruchita is shown dead. Ruhi is exactly a replica of Ruchita while Juhi is carefree and more like Nihar. Ruhi always covers up Juhi's mistakes and gets harsh punishments from Poonam. However, the two sisters have a lot of love for each other and always support each other. Poonam still hates Ruhi and wants to get rid of Ruhi by getting her married off.

Ruhi is looked down for her dark skin tone and simplicity. It is hard to get alliances for her so Poonam wants her married off to whoever is willing. By fate, her horoscope matches with Nahar Goenka. Poonam wants Juhi to get married with Nahar as she would live a great life as the Goenka family’s daughter-in-law.

Due to misunderstandings, Nahar’s grandmother thinks Juhi is getting married to Nahar. But Saumi thinks she approves of Ruhi and goes ahead with the alliance. Poonam is hellbent on breaking the alliance so she tries to turn the Goenkas against Ruhi.

Nonetheless, Ruhi and Nahar get married. However, new problems arise when Nahar's grandmother comes back. As she dislikes Ruhi, she wants to oust her from the Goenka family. However, the rest of the Goenka family accepts Ruhi as they are keeping a secret about Nahar.

Ruhi is in love with Nahar, but Nahar keeps his distance due to his hidden past. There is a mysterious door that is locked at all times that beckons Nahar towards it.
