Marcel Ruszel

Marcel Ruszel (born June 21 2004) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the youth academy of Torino. Born in the United States, he has represented Poland and the United States internationally at youth level.

Early life

Ruszel started playing and watching football with his father at a young age.[1]

Club career

In 2021, Ruszel almost joined the youth academy of German side 1. FC Koln, but the coronavirus pandemic hindered the transfer.[2] In 2022, he joined the youth academy of Italian Serie A side Torino, where he was regarded as one of the youth team's most important players.[3]

International career

Ruszel represented Poland internationally at youth level, helping the under-16 team team win tournaments in Israel and Finland.[4] In 2022, he switched his allegiance to the United States.[5]

Personal life

Ruszel has an older sister.[6]
