Margaret Moore

Margaret Moore aka Coach Meg, is a Canadian American executive, coach, and author of romance novels. She is also the founder of Wellcoaches Corporation.

Early life and education

Moore was born in Lindsay, Ontario, to W. John Moore and Anne Gertrude Moore. In 1978, She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. In 1983, Margaret obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Ivey School of Business, including an International Business Scholarship for a term at London Business School.

Career

In 1982, Margaret worked as a Marketing Consultant at Pharmacia Inc. Following her MBA, she held the position of Project Manager at Imperial Chemical Industries PLC (ICI Bioproducts) in Billingham, UK from 1983 to 1986, and Business Development Manager, at Delta Biotechnology, in Nottingham, UK from 1986-1988.[1]

In 1988, Margaret joined Connaught Laboratories Ltd. in Toronto, Canada, where she had a multifaceted career. From 1988 to 1990, she served as the International Marketing Manager, followed by the role of Director of Business Development from 1990 to 1992. In 1992, Margaret became the Chief Executive Officer at Virogenetics Corporation in Albany, NY.[2]

In 1994, she took on the role of Commercial Director at the Canadian Genetic Diseases Network (CGDN) in Vancouver, Canada. Margaret then served as the Chief Operating Officer at NeuroVir Therapeutics Inc. in Vancouver, Canada, from 1996 to 1999, which merged with Medigene AG in 2001.

In 2000, she founded Wellcoaches Corporation.

In 2009, Moore co-founded the Institute of Coaching (IOC) at McLean Hospital, a psychiatric affiliate of Harvard Medical School. She currently serves as the chair of the institute.[3]

Margaret co-founded the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching in 2010.[4]
