Maria Mandini

Maria Mandini (fl 1782–91) was a French opera singer. She is known as the first to perform the role of Marcellina in The Marriage of Figaro at its premiere in Vienna on 1 May 1786.[1][2][3][4]

She was the daughter of a member of the court staff at the French court in Versailles. In 1783 she made her debut in Vienna with her husband, Stefano Mandini, in L’italiana in Londra.[5][6][7][8] She appeared in Arbore di Diana, as Britomarte.[9]
