Melton and Syston (UK Parliament constituency)
Melton and Syston is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election.
Contents
The constituency will comprise the following areas:
- The whole of the Borough of Melton, including the town of Melton Mowbray, transferred from Rutland and Melton (to be renamed Rutland and Stamford)
- Syston, East Goscote and Thurmaston, transferred from Charnwood (to be renamed Mid Leicestershire)
- Sileby, transferred from Loughborough
