Mercedes Batidor

Mercedes Batidor Llabrés, also known as Merche Batidor, (born 21 July 1972 Palma de Mallorca ) is a Spanish rugby union player. [1]

Career

She started practicing rugby with INEFC Lleida and later played at Rugby Club l'Hospitalet,[2][3] where she won three Cope de la Reina (1997, 1998 and 2002) and five Catalan Championships .

She competed with the Catalan and Spain women's national rugby union teams, with which she played forty-seven international matches between 1995 and 2002, and of which she was captain. She won the 1995 FIRA Women's European Championship,[4] and participated in different editions of the Six Nations Tournament. She also participated in the 1998 Women's Rugby World Cup and 2002 Women's Rugby World Cup,[5][6][7][8] retiring at the end of that season.

She received the bronze medal of the Spanish Rugby Federation in 2000. [9]
