Mexican Esperanto Federation

The Mexican Esperanto Federation (Esperanto: Meskiko Esperanto-Federacio; Spanish: Federación Mexicana de Esperanto) is one of the primary national Esperanto associations in Mexico. Its President is Mallely Martínez Mateos, with David Lopez Rueda as its General Secretary. The FME is headquartered in Mexico City, Mexico.[1] The MEF was founded in 1996.[2]

The MEF has advocated for the use of Esperanto in the 21st century, pushing back against criticism that the language suffers from idealism about its utility as a "neutral" international auxiliary language.[3]
