Misaryar Khan

Misaryar Khan (born 1896, Hindi: मिसरयार खान) or Misar Yar Khan, was an Indian and freedom fighter and politician who served as the member of Parliament from Bareilly Lok Sabha constituency.[1][2]

Early life and education

Misaryar Khan was born Khudayar Khan in 1896 at Rampur. A district of Uttar Pradesh. He did his initial studies at home from his father Khudayar Khan.[3]

Political life

Misaryar Khan was first elected as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from kawar Assembly Constituency in 1974 in the Bharatiya Kranti Dal elections.[4]

Later, he was elected Member of Parliament from Bareilly Lok Sabha on Janata Dal Party ticket.[5]

Freedom movements and detentions

Khan participated in several independence movements and was jailed in 1923, 1926 and 1938. and also detained under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act in the year 1975.[6]
