Mohammad Asrar Ahmad

Mohammad Asrar Ahmad (born 23 December 1908 – ?, Hindi: मोहम्मद असरार अहमद) was an Indian politician and freedom fighter. He was the member of parliament from Badaun since (1980–1984).[1]

Political career

Asrar was the first elected member of the Legislative Assembly in 1946 on a Muslim League ticket. Later, he was the leader and most influential member of the opposition party until 1952. You had joined Congress in the year 1948. From 1950 to 1962, he was a member and general secretary of the State Congress Committee. And later in 1962, Asrar left Congress.[2]

In 1967 he was elected on a Republican Party ticket and was the leader of his party in the Assembly. He was the Deputy Minister of Autonomous Governance and Housing in the Joint MLA Cabinet. In July 1969, Asrar joined the Bharatiya Kranti Dal and was appointed whip of the Bharatiya Kranti Dal. And later, he became the Chief Whip.[3]

He was a member of the state Bharatiya Kranti Dal and its legislative party executive. He was Deputy Minister in the Charan Singh Cabinet. Was again elected Minister of State in the year 1970.[4][5]

He was the district honorary magistrate, an Election Committee member, and a visitor to the District Jail and Orange Jail Bareilly.
