Mount Mathew

Mount Mathew (81°41′S 159°57′E) is a peak, 2,030 metres (6,660 ft) high, standing at the east side of Starshot Glacier, 2 nautical miles (4 km) north of Mount Hotine, in the Surveyors Range, Antarctica. It was named by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1960–61) for Felton Mathew, the first Surveyor-General of New Zealand, in 1840.[1]
