† Championships vacated by NCAA Committee on Infractions: the NCAA put Houston Baptist on three-year probation for infractions involving Miguel Rubio and Alfonso Rodriguez. The NCAA penalized Houston Baptist for paying for an airline ticket to Spain for Rodriguez and housing Rubio in the student dormitories before he became a student in 1986.[3]
