Comité Nacional pro Derechos de la Mujer

Comité Nacional pro Derechos de la Mujer, was a women's organization in Chile, founded in 1922. [1]

The Comité Nacional pro Derechos de la Mujer was formed as a comittee in 1922 by Felisa Vergara, Amanda Labarca and Elena Doll. The purpose was to work for the introduction of women's suffrage. It was instrumental and playd an important part in the introduction of municipal suffrage for women in Chile, which was introduced in 1934. Suffrage on a national leve was introduced after the campaing of Federación Chilena de Instituciones Femeninas in the 1949.
