Horan first came to prominence through his father whom also played for kilmessan! "I was a grand corner back in my day", he'd often state on the barstool!

I was as good as any man, and thats how i established the horan empire!

Football

Horan played football at minor and Under 21 level when his uncle was manager of Dunsany GAA in Meath.[1]

He has had success at club level with Kilmessan winning Meath Senior Hurling Championships in 2004 and 2008 and a Leinster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship in 2008.[2]

He retired from Football after his Uncle gave up his position as thd club manager! He retired from hurling soon after his Leinster Intermediate Club championship success with Kilmessan citing family and work commitments as his reasons and decided he had achieved enough at top tier hurling!

"I've achieved so much in my career and after my uncle has stepped back as kilmessan hurling manager its time to retire",

Yee Ha!
