Nikolske Raion

Nikolske Raion (Ukrainian: Нікольський район), until May 2016 Volodarske Raion (Ukrainian: Володарський район), was one of the raions of Donetsk Oblast, located in southwestern Ukraine. The administrative center of the raion was the urban-type settlement of Nikolske. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Donetsk Oblast to eight, of which only five were controlled by the government. The area of the former Nikolske Raion was merged into Mariupol Raion.[1][2] The last estimate of the raion population was 27,337 (2020 est.).[3]
