Nimra Ahmed Khan

Nemrah Niazi (pen name: Nemrah Ahmed) is a Pakistani Urdu language novelist and author. She was born on 9 September 1990 in Bhakkar, Pakistan. She is originally from Mianwali.

Career

Nemrah Ahmad started writing at a tender age along with her studies. She published her first novel "Mere Khuab, Mere Jugnu" at the age of 16 in 2007 in Shuaa Digest, a women's monthly magazine. After obtaining her Master's degree in English Literature, she undertook writing as a full time job.[1] She has written 11 novels till date. Each novel carries different themes than others. Her breakthrough novel was "Mus'haf", that was also Best Selling Urdu Book at New Dehli Book Fair 2017.[2]

Writing style

Nemrah Ahmad have a unique style of incorporating Qur'an and its verses in her writings. Her writings are well researched and carry innovating themes and styles. She have been earning a place on The News Women Power 50 list for three consecutive years.[3]

Zanjabeel

In March 2016, Nemrah Ahmad launched her own bookstore, Zanjabeel.[4] The name "Zanjabeel" is derived from the Arabic word for ginger and represents one of the springs in Jannah. In this context, water symbolizes Wahi Ilahi (divine revelation), Ilm (knowledge), and wisdom. Thus, this bookstore being the source of knowledge and wisdom "Zanjabeel," signifies a small spring of enlightenment.[5]
