North Valley Rail is a proposed railway line in California that would offer service from Natomas to Chico. It would connect to Altamont Corridor Express.[1][2][3] The project was initiated by the Butte County Association of Governments and is estimated to cost $500 million.[3]

Future plans include a connection to the Capital Corridor in Sacramento. Capital Corridor and North Valley Rail cross in Sacramento. North Valley Rail is primarily aligned to the north and south, while Capital Corridor is largely aligned east and west.
