Om Murti Anil

Om Murti Anil (born 31 October 1978) FACC is a Nepalese cardiologist and author. He uses social media to raise health awareness for the prevention of heart disease.[1][2][3]

Education

Anil earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University and Doctorate of Medicine (Cardiology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He is fellow of the Society of cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention in the US and the American College of Cardiology.[4]

Career

He has authored a book in Nepali language titled, Ma Pani Doctor (English, "I am also a doctor") in 2013 which aims to prevent heart disease through health awareness.[5] Anil uses social media platforms to share informative articles and videos on heart health with the public.[6][7] He has organized free health camps, including a heart camp that served over 5,500 people in Kathmandu and had received "JNHRC best paper award" of the year 2019 for his research.[8][9][10] He has also initiated a campaign called "Mission to Save Heart" with the aim of training health workers to provide better treatment of heart patients.[11] He has founded a heart centre in Kathmandu which conducts awareness activities and trainings.[12][13][14]
