Always (2011 film)
Always (Korean: 오직 그대만; RR: Ohjik Geudaeman; MR: Ochik kŭtaeman; lit. Only You) is a 2011 South Korean drama film directed by Song Il-gon. Starring So Ji-sub and Han Hyo-joo in the lead roles, it is about a romance between an ex-boxer who has closed his heart to the world and a telemarketer who remains spirited despite slowly going blind.[2]

It was released in theaters on October 20, 2011.[3] In South Korea, the film had a total of 1,027,614 admissions nationwide.[4] With online tickets selling out a 2,000-seat outdoor movie theater in a record seven seconds,[5] Always was the opening film of the 2011 Busan International Film Festival.[6]
Plot summary
A car accident leads to Jung-hwa going blind, and in the same accident, she loses her parents. However, she continues life and learns to adapt. She accidentally meets Jang Marcelino, a former boxer, who works in a parking lot. He is a talented boxer, who has a dark past associated with crime, he left boxing and has chosen to remain distant from society because of his past. They become closer and start dating, Jang returns to the world of boxing but soon learns that he was indirectly responsible for the accident that made Jung-hwa go blind. He considers himself responsible for Jung-hwa's condition. Jung-hwa's sight has complications, and she needs a surgery she cannot afford. Eventually Jang fights in a dangerous match to get the prize money to pay for the operation that will cure her blindness he wins the match but is badly injured by the people who were against his winning. many years pass but jang is no where to be seen.

Remake
The film was officially remade in 2014 in Turkish as Sadece Sen. It has also been remade in Kannada in 2015 as Boxer and in Hindi in 2016 as Do Lafzon Ki Kahani.[9] A Japanese remake, titled Your Eyes Tell, starring Ryusei Yokohama and Yuriko Yoshitaka, was released on October 23, 2020.[10] A Filipino remake, titled Always, starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim was released on September 28, 2022.
