Mamalan

Mamalan (Persian: مامالان, also Romanized as Māmālān; also known as Māhmalānlū, Makhmalanlu, Narcham, Parcham, and Purcham)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Gilvan Rural District of Gilvan District, Tarom County, Zanjan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 429 in 116 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 421 people in 122 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 359 people in 126 households.[2]

Gilvan District was established from villages originally in Gilvan Rural District of the Central District and Dast Jerdeh Rural District of Chavarzaq District.[4]
