Peter Newman (film producer)
Peter Ross Newman is an American film producer and educator. He attended Northwestern University and began his producing career in the 1980s.[1]
Newman has been married to casting director and filmmaker Antonia Dauphin since 1988, and is the father of actors Griffin Newman and James Newman.[2][3][4] As of 2022, he is an associate professor at New York University, teaching courses at both the Tisch School of the Arts and the Stern School of Business; in 2008, he was named the first head of a dual MFA-MBA program, which the university describes as the first of its kind in the United States.[1]
As of 2013, Newman lives between Greenwich Village, Manhattan, and a vacation home on Blackberry Farm, in the Great Smoky Mountains.[3]
