Pulimada

Pulimada (transl. Tiger's Den) is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film directed, written and edited by A. K. Sajan.[2] The film stars Joju George and Aishwarya Rajesh, alongside Chemban Vinod Jose, Lijomol Jose, Jaffar Idukki, Johny Antony and Balachandra Menon.

Principal photography commenced in January 2022 in Wayanad. The songs are composed by Ishaan Dev, while Anil Johnson provided the background score. The cinematography is handled by Venu.

Cast

Production

Pulimada marks the return of cinematographer Venu to Malayalam films after a nine-year gap.[4] The film is jointly produced by Rajesh Damodaran and Sijo Vadakkan under the banners of Appu Pathu Pappu Production House, Ink Lab Cinemas and Land Cinemas.[5] Principal photography of the film began on 5 January 2022 in Wayanad.[6][7] The filming began with a pooja ceremony held at the Mount Avenue Hotel in Ambalavayal.[8] The Nilavilakku was first lit by Stephy Zaviour, while producer Dixon Poduthas performed the switch-on, and Suraj P. S. gave the first clap.[8] The film was shot in 60 days on a single schedule.[9]

Music

The film has songs composed by Ishaan Dev, with background score provided by Anil Johnson.[10] The lyrics are written by Rafeeq Ahamed, Dr. Thaara Jeyashankar and Fr. Michael Panachikal.[11] The orchestra is from Budapest.[12] The first song titled "Arikil Onnu Vannal" was released on 22 August 2023.[13]

Release

The film was released in theatres on 26 October 2023.[14] It will be distributed by Ann Mega Media Release.[15]
