Ravindra Dhangekar

Ravindra Dhangekar is an Indian National Congress politician from Pune who has been serving as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Kasba Peth Assembly constituency since March 2023 when he won the seat in a byelection that was necessitated by the death of the incumbent BJP MLA Mukta Tilak. Dhangekar winning the seat on a Congress ticket was considered a significant upset, as the seat had consistently been held by the BJP for 28 years since 1995, and was considered a stronghold of the BJP. Ravindra Dhangekar won with 52.98 percent of votes, garnering 10,915 votes more than his opponent Hemant Rasane.[1][2][3]
