History
Rising Insane was formed in 2012. A year later, with the help of the band, bassist Ulf Hedenkamp founded Springsane Festival, which was held annually in Hude until space was no longer available. The festival has been taking place in nearby Oldenburg for several years. Bands mainly from the metalcore and post-grunge genres appeared. There, the musicians also got to know the band Annisokay around 2016, with whom they went on a two-week tour in Germany and Austria in 2018 and acted as support act.[1][3][4]
In 2017 the band released their first album Nation.
In 2019, Rising Insane won the Impericon Next Generation competition in the jury prize category and was allowed to perform at the Impericon Festival in Leipzig.[5] At the end of 2019, Long Branch Records released Porcelain, which also featured three singles.
Rising Insane planned their first headlining tour for 2020 but were unable to fulfill that due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the band released some cover songs at the time, from "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd" and "Physical" by Dua Lipa, with accompanying music videos and the accompanying cover EP Recovered. An acoustic EP with songs from the album Porcelain was also released.[3]
In 2021, the band released their third studio album, Afterglow. Several singles and EPs were also released for the album.
Rising Insane planned numerous concerts at festivals and with the bands Annisokay and Deez Nuts for 2022 to 2023.
The Rising Insane studio is located in Schierbrok in the municipality of Ganderkesee.[1]
