Roman Mamavko

Roman Mykhailovych Mamavko (Ukrainian: Роман Михайлович Мамавко) - is a Ukrainian serviceman, current colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at 24th Mechanized Brigade, participant of the Russo-Ukrainian war. Hero of Ukraine.

Career

After studying at the Odesa Institute of the Land Forces, he still serves in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo of the Operational Command "West" of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As of 2021, the Chief of Staff is the First Deputy Commander of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade.[1]

Russian invasion of Ukraine (2022)

After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops on February 24, 2022, his brigade defended Popasna, Sieverskodonetsk district, Luhansk region, for almost 3 months. During the Russian-Ukrainian war, Colonel Roman Mamavko, after the wounded commander, took over the Kerivnitsa brigade with its subdivisions.[2]
