List of rulers of Luba

The Kingdom of Luba or Luba Empire (1585–1889) was a pre-colonial Central African state that arose in the marshy grasslands of the Upemba Depression in what is now southern Congo.

This caused Kongolo to become jealous and he attempted to have Kalala killed, but failed. Kalala defeated his father Kongolo in war and founded the second Luba empire in c. 1620.[2]
