Saripodhaa Sanivaaram

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language film written and directed by Vivek Athreya. It is produced by D. V. V. Danayya under DVV Entertainment and stars Nani, Priyanka Arul Mohan and S. J. Suryah. The film was officially announced in October 2023, with the tentative title Nani 31, as it is Nani's 31st film as lead actor, while the title of the film was revealed a few days later. Principal photography began in October 2023. The film has music composed by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography handled by Murali G. and editing handled by Karthika Srinivas.

Development

In late May 2023, it was reported that Vivek Athreya had narrated a script to Nani which impressed him; They had previously collaborated for the successful venture Ante Sundaraniki (2022). Reportedly, Nani agreed acting in the film and was said to begin after he finishes his commitments to Nani 30 (later named Hi Nanna).[3] On 21 October, the project was officially announced by DVV Entertainment, who is funding the project, tentatively titled Nani 31.[4] On 22 October, Priyanka Arul Mohan was announced playing the lead actress role, alongside Nani for the second time after Nani's Gang Leader (2019), while S. J. Suryah was announced the day after.[5] G. V. Prakash Kumar and Anirudh Ravichander were reportedly in consideration for the composer role, however, on 22 October, Jakes Bejoy, Murali G and Karthika Srinivas were announced as music composer, cinematographer and editor, respectively.[6] The title Saripodhaa Sanivaaram was revealed on 23 October.[7]

Filming

Principal photography began with a muhuratam on 24 October 2023.[4]

Music

The music and background score is composed by Jakes Bejoy, in his maiden collaboration with Nani and Athreya.[6]
