Saroj Piploda

Saroj Piploda (born May 10, 1997), is an Indian volleyball player; currently she is part of the Indian women's national volleyball team. She was also a part of India's women's national under-19 volleyball team. Piploda is currently sub-inspector in Rajasthan police[1] as appointed by Government of Rajasthan via out-of-turn policy.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

Early life

Piploda was born on May 10, 1997, in Chomu Purohitan, Khatoo, Rajasthan, to a Jat family.[8] Her father is Nanu Ram Piploda.[9] Piploda started her volleyball career at the government secondary school, Chomu Purohitan. Piploda represented Rajasthan state team at national level for 15 times as Captain and also represented India in China (2012), China Taipei (2014), and Nepal (2015).[10]

Career

Piploda is former captain of Rajasthan volleyball team and represented Rajasthan at the national level for 15 times.[2] In December 2014, she won gold medal in the first South Asian Women's Volleyball Championship held in Kathmandu, Nepal.[11] She was also a brand ambassador for the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign in the Sikar district.[3] Piploda also got a job in the Rajasthan government. She was appointed as a sub-inspector in the Jaipur commissionerate via out-of-turn policy.[1]
