Savanah Leaf

Savanah Leaf (born 24 November 1993) is a British-American film director.[1][2] Her directorial work includes music videos for Gary Clark, Jr.'s single This Land (Grammy Award for Best Music Video nominee).[3] Her debut feature length film, Earth Mama premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and was released in theaters July 2023.[4]

Leaf is a former professional volleyball player and competed for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics.[5]

Early life and education

Leaf was born in London and moved to the Bay Area when she was eight years old. She attended San Jose State University before transferring to the University of Miami where she graduated with a degree in psychology.[6][7]
