Sayyad Dadashov

Sayyad Dadashov (Azerbaijani: Səyyad Dadaşov; born June 28, 2004) is an Azerbaijani taekwondoka, silver medalist of the 2023 European Games, and 2022 champion of Azerbaijan.

Biography

Sayyad Dadashov was born on June 28, 2004. In 2018, he took part in the European Championship among cadets. In 2019 he won bronze at the European Youth Championships.[1]

In 2021, in Sarajevo, he became the European Youth Champion. In 2022, he won the bronze of the Turkish Open tournament in Antalya and took part in the European Championship in Manchester. In the same year, he won the European Championship among juniors in Tirana, as well as the bronze of the Dutch Open tournament in Eindhoven.[1]

In November 2022, he took part in the World Championships in Guadalajara.[1] In December of the same year, he became the champion of Azerbaijan in the weight category up to 54 kg, representing the city of Quba.[2]

In 2023, Dadashov became the silver medalist of the Belgian Open tournament in Lommel and took part in the home World Championships in Baku.[1]

In June 2023, Sayyad Dadashov became the silver medalist of the III European Games, losing in the final to the silver medalist of the 2023 World Championships Hugo Arillo from Spain.[3]
