Statistics include official FIFA recognised matches, and also includes a match against a Hong Kong League XI played on 23 May 2002 that the Scottish Football Association includes in its statistical totals.[10][11]
Notes
- Caps were awarded by the Scottish Football Association , but the match was not recognised by FIFA as an official international.
- The match was abandoned after 59 minutes due to floodlight failure and torrential rain, but it was recognised by FIFA as an official international and caps were awarded by the Scottish Football Association.
- The Scottish Football Association credited the Scotland goal to James McFadden, but other sources reported that the goal was an own goal. (BBC Sport)
