Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Ninja Theory and published Xbox Game Studios. It is the sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. The game is currently scheduled to be released in 2024 for Windows PC and Xbox Series X and Series S.

Development

Ninja Theory first revealed Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 in 2019.[1] Alongside Xbox Series X console reveal, Xbox also showed a new trailer from Senua's Saga: Hellblade II in December 2020. [2] Ninja Theory stated that it was "building real costumes and scanning them in" in a June 2021 development update. The company then tweeted about their photogrammetry efforts later in September 2021. [3]

With a film of behind-the-scenes footage showcasing the demanding and severe fighting training she's been going through, actor Melina Juergens has provided people with even more information. It has been confirmed that Hellblade 2 takes place in Iceland.[4] Ninja Theory offered sneak peek at the cloud generating technology they're utilizing to create the necessary clouds to go with those dramatic landscapes and create that ominous vibe. Ninja Theory announced at the Xbox Showcase on June 11, 2023, that Senua's Saga: Hellblade II will be released in 2024.[6]
