Sergey Mikhaylovich Darkin
Sergey Mikhaylovich Darkin (Russian: Серге́й Миха́йлович Да́рькин) (b. December 9, 1963 in Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsky Krai) is a Russian businessman, entrepreneur, social activist.

Biography
Darkin attended school in Artyom and later in Vesyoly Yar settlement. After graduating from school he entered the Far Eastern Naval College and simultaneously started work as a docker in the port of Vladivostok. He graduated from the college with high honors in 1985 and chose to continue with graduate studies. Having completed graduate studies he worked as a stevedore in Vladivostok port.
Business
In 1989 he became deputy director of the Dallizing joint stock company. In 1991 he founded the Roliz company. The company's activities included shipbuilding and later fishing. In 1998 Darkin also became president of the Primorye Bank.
Currently, he is the founder and president of Pacific Investment Group PJSC. The area of interest is the implementation of highly profitable investment projects for the development of the Far East and trade and economic relations with the Asia-Pacific countries. He participates in the activities of several business structures. Among them are NBAMR PJSC, Defriz LLC, AquaInvest LLC, Parus LLC, NEIRIDA Aquaculture Research & Production Company, etc. Since 2021, S.M. Darkin is part of Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port JSC. With the advent of new shareholders, an investment program was adopted aimed at developing and improving the port infrastructure. The estimated amount of investments by the end of 2024 is more than 8 bln RUB.
Social activity
- Assistance in the construction of the Transfiguration Cathedral;
- Development Support Fund of the Maritime State University named after Admiral G.I. Nevelsky;
- Construction and maintenance of two football arenas;
- Support for youth, patriotic movements, public associations.

- Strategy of socio-economic development of Primorsky Territory for 2004-2010
- Strategic Priorities for the Development of the Far East, 2015.
The businessman has three daughters (one of whom was adopted). His youngest daughter, Yaroslava Darkina, was born on April 8, 2001, the day on which Darkin submitted his request to be registered as a candidate in the governorship elections.
Sergey Darkin's hobbies include volleyball, scuba diving, fisticuffs, and hunting.
