Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology

The Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology (Chinese: 上海科技高等专科学院; lit. 'Shanghai Technological Senior Vocational College') was established in 1959 as Shanghai's second technological vocational college for advanced technical training. The school was renamed as the current name in 1981.

The Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology, the Shanghai University of Technology, the Shanghai University of Science and Technology, and the original Shanghai University merged to establish the current Shanghai University in May 1994.[1]
